Bonnie Ashley and Neil Downie is the most popular independent studio textile, furniture and art design in Australia.
The brand was originally launched in 2010. Every product is produced by hand in their studio in Melbourne using high quality materials. This handmade process which makes each piece was unique and can be found in the US, Asia and most recently the UK.

They are known for their vibrant ranges of unique products for the home. Largely incorporating botanical motifs, bright patterns and occasional nod to Australian culture, their designs are influenced by their surroundings and a shared love of colour.
The combined talents of textile designers and their approach to design intuitive, involving a combination of traditional printing methods, Bonnie and Neil have led to colour and attractive store in Melbourne.
In their first store, built at the front of their design studio, they have combined their skills to create a truly unique and lively retail space — the interior is patterned wall to wall and floor to ceiling with Bonnie and Neil designed tiles.
The brand’s current and archival cushions, tableware, ceramics and timber products are all available in the store as well as a new limited edition range of paper prints inspired by Bonnie’s years working as a florist.
In addition to their own products the store stocks Maison Balzac candles and hand cream, Robert Gordon Australia ceramics and sculptures from local artist Rob Bast.

The space and the back wall (made entirely from glass for see into design studio) was entirely designed and creatively merchandised by Ashley and Downie.
