The Ecoville Project saw vacant farmland attached to a modest, outer-suburban housing estate transformed into a self-sustaining park, with landscaped gardens, sport and recreation areas, clean energy resources and a community amphitheatre.
It’s logo illustrates a multitude of ideals that were fundamental to Ecoville’s development including unity, growth, perpetuity, vitality and environmental awareness.
Ecoville is a landmark project for HACHEM because the studio initiated, and successfully implemented, concepts that went well beyond the bounds of the client’s initial brief. In an area of housing developments where innovation is not often demanded, the studio was able to work within budget to implement simple, viable, eco-sustainable infrastructure, ultimately creating a source of pride and productivity for the area’s community.
